“I think it will save lives, but it’s not enough.” – Dr. Amy Kathryn White, Breast Surgeon

Montclair Breast Center surgeons, Dr. Nancy Elliott and Dr. Amy Kathryn White, were featured on ABC News7 to discuss the new U.S. Preventative Task Force guidelines for breast cancer screening. Old guidelines from 2016 suggested biannual mammography from ages 50-74. Now, the task force recommends women start at age 40.

Director & Founder Dr. Elliott agrees that women of average risk should start at 40, but adds “women should go every year.”
